The 4th Mumolade Workshop with participation in the Particles Congress, Barcelona, Sept. 2015

The fourth workshop of the MUMOLADE project took place at the Technical University of Catalonia (UPC) in Barcelona from Monday September 28th to Friday October 2nd, 2015.

The training with courses on “advanced structural analysis” covered the following topics:

  • Numerical and Experimental Study of Failure of Rockfill Dams under Extreme Events (A. Larese)

  • Lagrangian formulation for fluid-structure interaction problems with thermal, coupling using PFEM (A. Franci)

  • An embedded approach for multi-fluid problems: coupling issues and thermally coupled applications (J. Marti and P.Ryzhakov)

  • DEM applied to risk assessment (F. Zárate)

  • Computational modeling of coupled thermomechanical problems (C. Agelet de Saracibar)

  • Thermo-mechanical analysis of welding industrial processes (N. Dialami)

  • Numerical Simulation of Composite Materials (S. Oller and F. Otero)

  • Numerical Simulation of structural behavior under High Cycle Fatigue (HCF) and Ultra Low Cycle Fatigue (ULCF),(X. Martínez and L. Barbu)

  • A damage-driven model for remodelling/healing of live soft tissues considering biological availability (E. Cornelias and S. Oller)

  • Model order reduction of nonlinear structural problems (J. Hernández)

  • Computational models for the nonlinear analysis of large historical masonry structures (L. Pelà)

  • Multiscale analysis of masonry structures (M. Petracca)

The workshop was combined with the Particles Congress 2015 which was held from September 28th to September 30th in Barcelona. There was also a special session organized for MUMOLADE project. (http://congress.cimne.com/particles2015/frontal/default.asp)
